Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games

The theme for the 2014 IT Challenge was ‘to improve the user’s experience at the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games’. Students were encouraged to develop innovative applications designed specifically for the Olympic Games, that can be used anywhere, anytime and on any device to add value to a business or an individual.

In 2014, the competition was supported by the IOC, the IPC and the Rio 2016 Organising Committee and the judging panel includes representatives from all three of these organizations as well as the Atos Scientific Community – a global network of around 100 of the best business technologists within Atos.
